Just because Labor Day is over doesn't mean that runners should put away the sunblock. In many places, including where I live, summer lingers through September, and I am certainly running in shorts and short sleeves for another month or so.
But you can still sustain sun damage during those long marathon training runs on crisp, but sunny, fall days. Don't forget the sunblock on your arms, legs, and neck before that Sept. 20-miler, and don't forget your face, especially if you aren't wearing a hat with a brim.
