Tip of the Week

A new study in the Journal of Pain found that people with non-life-threatening orthopedic injuries who didn't think they would recover reported more pain 6 months later. Check my injury tips for more on the study, but what I took from it was the importance of thinking positively.


Nothing is worse for runners than dealing with a running injury but I think it's not unlike the placebo effect--if you believe that you'll get back to full strength, you are more likely to do so.
